Hi, I’m Jodi.

The North is my home.  I have lived in Yellowknife my entire life and have travelled throughout the Northwest Territories, parts of the Yukon, and parts of Nunavut. I feel a deep connection to the land up here. I also feel a deep connection to people and, from a young age, have had the desire to understand human behaviour and help people become the best version of themselves.

This led me to study psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I became a licensed psychologist in 2001, and since then, I’ve built a practice where I get to spend my workdays helping people navigate life’s challenges and build resilience.

I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them understand how their life experiences impact daily functioning and relationships. My practice is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches that integrate self-awareness, cultural understanding, attachment and relationship dynamics, neuropsychology (how the brain stores and copes with trauma), and mindfulness.

I am an EMDR International Association approved consultant, providing EMDR therapy consultation and supervision to counsellors and therapists across North America. I have also completed extensive training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).

My intention is to create a supportive, safe space where people can gain insight, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change in their lives.
