Welcome
I’m Jodi Kapicki, a Registered Psychologist based in Yellowknife. I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and families who want to better understand themselves and the connections that shape their lives. My goal is to help you make sense of how your experiences influence the way you feel and relate to others, and to work together toward meaningful change and a greater sense of balance.
Services
No matter what brings you here, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where healing can begin. I’ll walk alongside you as we explore what’s been challenging and find practical ways forward.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to support personal growth and strengthen relationships with themselves and with others.
My areas of focus include:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety and depression
Relationship challenges
Self-esteem and identity concerns
Parenting support
Grief and loss
Stress management
My Approach
My work is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches that consider the whole person: mind, body, culture, and relationships.
I draw from several therapeutic methods to support recovery and growth, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), integrating mindfulness to help the nervous system find safety and balance. These methods can gently address the effects of trauma, allowing for deeper healing and lasting change.
I work collaboratively with clients facing a wide range of experiences, from long-standing trauma to everyday stress and relationship challenges, guided by compassion, curiosity, and respect as we move towards greater well-being.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you’d like to book a session or start with a consultation, I’m here to support you. Together, we can explore your goals and find a path toward healing and growth.
I acknowledge that I work on the traditional lands of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation and the North Slave Métis Alliance. I deeply respect the histories, languages, and cultures of Inuit, First Nations, Métis, and all Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Territories and Canada. Their presence and traditions continue to shape and enrich the communities I am honored to be part of, and I strive to carry that respect into my work with every client.
